රටේ දැනට පවතින වැසි සහිත කාලගුණික තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් ඩෙංගු උවදුර නැවතත් පැතිරීමේ අවධානමක් ඇති බව සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ජාතික ඩෙංගු මර්දන ඒකකය සදහන් කරයි.
කොළඹ, ගම්පහ, කලුතර, කුරුණෑගල, පුත්තලම, රත්නපුර කෑගල්ල, යාපනය මහනුවර, මඩකළපුව, කල්මුණේ හා මාතලේ යන දිස්ත්‍රික්ක තවදුරටත් අවධානම් දිස්ත්‍රික්ක ලෙස හදුනාගෙන ඇති බව ද ජාතික ඩෙංගු මර්දන ඒකකය පෙන්වා දෙයි.
මෙම තත්ත්වය තවදුරටත් පැතිරීයාම වැළැක්වීම සදහා සෞඛ්‍ය, පෝෂණ හා දේශීය වෛද්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දොස්තර රාජිත සේනාරත්නගේ සහ ජනාධිපති ඩෙංගු කාර්යසාධක බලකායේ උපදෙස් පරිදි සෞඛ්‍ය, පෝෂණ හා දේශීය වෛද්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශය මගින් අදාල සියලුම ආයතන සම්බන්ධීකරණයෙන් මෙම මස 09 හා 10 යන දෙදින ඒකාබද්ධ ඩෙංගු මර්දන වැඩසටහනක් දීපව්‍යාප්තව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට තීරණය කර ඇත.
ඒ අනුව සියලුම රාජ්‍ය ආයතන පරිශ්‍ර, පාසල් ආගමික ස්ථාන, නව ඉදිකිරීම් ස්ථාන ඇතුලුව ඩෙංගු රෝගීන් බෝවීම වැළැක්වීම සදහා, මදුරු කීටයන් බෝවන ස්ථාන හදුනාගෙන, පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරිමට සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශය කටයුතු යොදා ඇත. එබැවින් මේ සදහා සියලුම කර්මාන්ත ශාලා, ගොඩනැගිලි ඉදිකිරීම් ස්ථාන, ආගම්ක ස්ථාන හා පෞද්ගලික නිවාස වල පුර්ණ දායකත්වය හා නිරන්තර සහභාගීත්වය අපේක්ෂා කරන බව ද සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ජාතික ඩෙංගු මර්දන ඒකකය සදහන් කරයි.
