අගමැති ධුරය හෝ විපක්‍ෂ නායක ධුරය දෙන්නේ නම් පමණක් ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂය සමග සාකච්ඡා කිරීමට ඒකාබද්ධ විපක්‍ෂය තීරණය කර ඇති බව වාර්ථා වේ.මේ තීරණය ගෙන ඇත්තේ හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ ගේ ප‍්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පාර්ලිමේන්තු සංකීර්ණයේදී පැවැති ඒකාබද්ධ විපක්‍ෂයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී කණ්ඩායම් රැස්වීමේදීය.ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂය යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවේ කොටස්කාරයකු ලෙස එක්සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය සමග කටයුතු කරන තුරු කිසිදු කරුණක් පිළිබඳව එම පක්‍ෂය සමග සාකච්ඡා නොකිරීමට ද මෙහිදී තීරණය කරන ලදැයි මෙහෙදී වැඩි දුරටත් වාර්ථා වේ.වත්මන් ආණ්ඩුව ගැන රටේ ජනතාව බරපපළ කළකිරීමට පත්ව සිටින අවස්ථාවක ඒ ආණ්ඩුවේ කොටස්කාරයන් වී සිටින ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂය සමග කටයුතු කිරීම ඵලක් නොවන බවද එම සාකච්ඡාවේදී තීරණය වී ඇත.මේ සාකච්ඡාවේදී ගත් තීරණ ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්‍ෂයට දැනුම් දීම සඳහා සී.බී. රත්නායක, පවිත‍්‍රා වන්නිආරච්චි හා මහින්ද යාපා අබේවර්ධන යන මන්ත‍්‍රීවරුන්ගෙන් සමන්විත කමිටුවක්ද මෙහිදී පත්කරගෙන ඇත.

At the meeting, it was not decided to work with the SLFP, which is part of the government, when the people of the country are not over burdensome with the present regime.
The decision taken at the meeting is to be sent to the SLFP. Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena have also been appointed.
