ශී‍්‍රලංකාවේ ජනතාවගේ ජීවිත සුරක්‍ෂිත කිරීම සඳහා පිහිටුවා ඇති ශී‍්‍ර ලංකා වෛද්‍ය සභාවේ සභාපති ධූරය සඳහා මහාචාර්ය කොල්වින් ගුණරත්නව, සෞඛ්‍ය ඇමති රාජිත සේනාරත්න විසින් පත්කර ඇතැයි වාර්ථා වේ.
ඔහුදැඩි සයිටම් හිතවාදියෙකු බවත්, ඔහු මෙම තනතුරට පත්කිරීම අප රටේ ජනතාවගේ ජීවිත ආරක්‍ෂාව බරපතල අනතුරකට ඇද දැමීමක් බවත්, ඒ ඔහු හරහා වෛද්‍ය සභාවේ අනුමැතිය සයිටම් ආයතනයට ලබාගැනීම රාජිත සේනාරත්න ඇමතිවරයාගේ උත්සාහය වන බවත් සමස්ත ලංකා වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ සංගමය පවසා සිටී. මේ පිළිබඳව හා ඉදිරි කි‍්‍රයාමාර්ග පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කිරීමේ මාධ්‍ය හමුවක්ද සමස්ත ලංකා වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ සංගමය විසින් කැඳවා ඇතැයි වාර්ථා වේ.
