America to Sri Lanka a 39.6 million dollars worth of drugs.

US$ 39.6 million worth of drugs were distributed to the Ministry of Health today (20) via Helpline Lanka in the United Kingdom. Julie Jeon, the American Ambassador of the country (Julie J. Chung) handed over this drug aid stock to Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Health. Among 32 types of drugs including infection conditions, cholesterol, diabetes, and painkillers.

Commenting here, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that he would like to thank all the friendly countries who helped Sri Lanka in a difficult time. The minister said that since the time of the pandemic, all countries became friendly and helped Sri Lanka in every way they could.

Also, Mr. A said that he is working to reduce the time to release the medicines from the customs and will give priority to the aid medicines. Minister Rambukwella added that often their files and language issues are affected by this and many of those problems could be avoided by being friendly with countries.
