The IG is back at it again D. To Vikramarathna.

C. D. Wikramarathna has been given another 3 months extension for the post of IGP for another 3 months, media reports citing news. The reports say he is scheduled to report back to service tomorrow (9) or the day after tomorrow (10).

C who was the General of Police D. Vikramarathna was set to retire on 25th of March. President Ranil Wickramasinghe had given him an extension of service for three months. The service extension ended on 25th June 2023. Then from the office of the IGP took his personal belongings from the office of IG. D. Vikramarathna has left.

There was a police parade for a police chief when he retires, but there was also reported that there was no salute parade for him on the day the service extension ended.
