The second conference of the People’s Struggle Movement at Haiti ground.

The second conference of the People’s Struggle Movement is being held today (08) at Haiti ground in Colombo. Commenting there and its working committee told Sujith Kuruwu this.

While many political enterprises in this country are being limited to the startup event. We are going on a successful and strong journey building the people’s struggle movement in just a short year. You have to strengthen the power of this process. You have to build up this people’s power and eliminate the persecution we are facing. Even though they are suffering in this country, the people who are organizing against that oppression and strengthening the people’s struggle.

Some people ask us how do you take the power you say? It has to be done by the power of the elections or by the armed struggle. We say that argument itself is wrong. Gotabhaya Rajapaksha proved that the real power of this country is the power of the people. Thank you Gotabhaya! Did Gotabhaya who was in executive power and majority of parliament can’t be defeated by armed power? No by the power of the people. Gotabhaya went by showing a weakness in the process as he proved that the power of the people is this much capable. That’s why people cannot maintain power without an organized system. We are trying to work on the fact that how to organize people’s power even in the election system. People’s struggle movement is not inactive. So don’t panic. The power of this country is going on

At this time, the Indian representative in the United States is maintaining power. Someone will ask why there is no China. Yes Chinese puppets were in power in this country too. But now the puppets who are loyal to the United States including Ranil.

But in a situation where history has the ability to defeat this treacherous power, the people struggle movement is working together in the people’s struggle council. It’s a tough job but we have started it. In a situation where a collective people demanding power, the way to get rid of the new slavery is the only way to organize.

Man coalitioned in the background of culture within neoliberal capitalism is asking for a new society. The collective seeds of the society that we will grow in the future should be planted in this non-struggle movement. As the theme of this conference, let’s take this message of struggle and power to the people to the village.
