අවම ප්‍රමිතිය සම්මත වුවහොත් – වෛද්‍යපීඨත් වැසෙයි?
ශ්‍රී ලංකා වෛද්‍ය සභාව විසින් සකස්කර ඇති වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාල අවම ප්‍රමිතිය පිළිබඳ පනත සම්මත වුවහොත් රජයේ වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාල වන නැගෙනහිර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ වෛද්‍ය පීඨය, රජරට විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ වෛද්‍ය පීඨය සහ කොතලාවල වෛද්‍ය පීඨයද අවම ප්‍රමිතියත් නැති වෛද්‍ය පීඨ අතරට එක්වන බව සඳහන් වේ.
කරුණු රැසකින් සමන්විත වන අවම ප්‍රමිති පනතට වෛද්‍ය පීඨයක සිටිය යුතු මහාචාර්යවරුන් රෝහලක තිබිය යුතු ඇඳන් සංඛ්‍යාව, රෝගීන් සංඛ්‍යාව, තාක්‍ෂණික අවශ්‍යතා ආදිය ඇතුළත් වන බවත්, එම වෛද්‍යපීඨ එම අවශ්‍යතා සම්පූර්ණ කර නැති බවත් වෛද්‍ය සභා ආරංචි මාර්ග පැවසූ බවත් සඳහන් වේ. මේ වන විට ඉඳිකරමින් පවතින ඉදිරියේදී විවෘත කිරීමට නියමිත වයඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ වෛද්‍ය පීඨයත් සැලසුම් කර ඇති ආකාරයට අවම ප්‍රමිතිය සම්පූර්ණ නොකළ එකක් වීමේ ඉඩක් ඇති බවද අවම ප්‍රමිතිය පිළිබඳ පනත සම්බන්ධ සාකච්ඡාවලදී වෛද්‍ය සභාව, උසස් අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය හා සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශය හඳුනාගෙන ඇති බවට වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසේ.

The medical faculty of the Wayamba University which is to be opened in the future to be opened has further been proposed that the minimum standard could not be fulfilled, and the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health have been informed during discussions on the Minimum Standards Act.
