මාධ්‍යට සිදුවූ පහරදීම් පිලිබඳ පරීක්ෂණවලට මූලිකත්වය දෙන්න – ඇමති සාගලගෙන් නියෝගයක්
මාධ්‍ය ආයතන හා මාධ්‍යවේදීන්ට සිදුවූ බලපෑම් පිළිබඳ පරීක්ෂණ සඳහාත් මූලිකත්වය ලබා දී කටයුතු කරන්නැයි ඒ පිළිබඳ පරීක්ෂණ කරන ආයතනවලට නියෝග කර ඇති බව නීතිය, සාමය සහ දක්ෂිණ සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍ය සාගල රත්නායක පවසයි. අමාත්‍යවරයා එසේ ප්‍රකශ කලේ මාධ්‍යවේදීන්ට හා මාධ්‍ය ආයතනවලට එරෙහි ප්‍රචණ්ඩත්වය පිටුදැකීමේ ජාත්‍යන්තර දින සැමරුම් උත්සවයට එක්වෙමිනි.
එසේම අමාත්‍යවරයා එහි දී කියා සිටියේ මාධ්‍යවේදීන්ට සිදු වූ බලපෑම් සම්බන්ධ ඇතැම් සිද්ධිවල සාක්ෂි පවා විනාශ කිරීමට අපරාධකරුවන් කටයුතු කර ඇති බවයි. එසේම ඇතැම් අපාරාධවලට සම්බන්ධ තොරතුරු ඇතුළත් වාර්තා පවා විනාශ කර ඇති බවයි.
තත්ත්වය එසේ වුවත් අදාළ සිද්ධි පිළිබඳ පරීක්ෂණ මේවන විට විශාල ප්‍රගතියක් අත්පත් කරගෙන ඇති බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය. එසේම මේ පිලිබඳ සොයා බැලීමට නව නීති රීති හඳුන්වාදෙන බව යි. විශේෂයෙන්ම අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ ප්‍රගීත් එක්නැලිගොඩ වැනි සිද්ධිවලදී මළ සිරුර හමු නොවී ඝාතන චෝදනා ගොනු කිරිම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය නව නීති රීති හඳුන්වාදිය යුතු නම් ඒ සඳහා ද පසුබට නොවන බවයි. අදාළ පරීක්ෂණ පැවැත්වීමට කොතරම් දුෂ්කරතා ඇතිවුවවද ඒ සියලු සිද්ධි පිළිබඳ පරීක්ෂණ පැවත්වා වරදකරුවන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය.

The Minister also said that criminals have acted to destroy even the evidence of some of the incidents that had taken place in the media. It also reports that some reports on some of the defects have been destroyed.
However, the Minister has said that the investigations regarding the incident have made major progress. And that new rules will be introduced to investigate this. In particular, the Minister said that the dead bodies of bodies found in Prageeth Ekneligoda should not be restrained if they were to introduce new rules to file charges against the suspects. The Minister said that although investigations into all these incidents are very difficult to hold the investigations, action will be taken against the perpetrators.
