ඉදිරියේ දී, සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති සියලුම ගුරු සහයකයින්, ලංකා ගුරු සේවයේ 03 – i ශ්‍රේණියට අන්තර්ග්‍රහණය කරන බව අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍ය අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් පවසයි. පසුගියදා පාර්ලිමේන්තු සැසිවාරයක දී අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ අදහස් පළ කළේය.
2014 වර්ෂයේ දී අවිධිමත් ලෙස බඳවා ගන්නා ලද ගුරු සහයකයින්ගේ මාසික දීමනාව වත්මන් රජය බලයට පත්වන විට ද රුපියල් 6000 කට පමණක් සීමා වී තිබූ බවත් තමන් මැදිහත්ව කැබිනට් පත්‍රිකාවක් මඟින් එම දිමනාව රුපියල් 10000 ක් දක්වා වැඩිකළ බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේය. ඒ අනුව, ගුරු පුහුණු සහතිකය ලැබූ, සුදුසුකම් සපුරා ඇති සියලු ගුරු සහයකයින්, ඉදිරියේ දී ගුරු සේවයේ 03 – i ශ්‍රේණිය සඳහා රුපියල් 31060 ක ආරම්භක වැටුපකට අන්තර්ග්‍රහණය කිරීමට සැලසුම් සකස් කර ඇති අතර ගුරු සහයක සේවාව ගෞරවනීය සේවාවක් බවට පත්කිරීම සඳහා ද වත්මන් රජය දැඩි අවධානයක් යොමු කර ඇති බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේය.

The monthly allowance of teacher assistants recruited to informally recruited teachers in 2014 has been confined to Rs. 6000 only when the present government came into power and the government has increased the allowance with the help of a cabinet paper up to Rs. 10000. Accordingly, all teacher assistants who have obtained the teacher training credentials have been prepared to be absorbed into the initial salary of grade 310 – 310 for teachers in the future, and the present Government has paid special attention towards transforming the teacher support service into an honorable service. Minister further stated.
