Pink volleyball tournament starts on 17th.

The pilot program of the island-wide Pink Volleyball program will be held in Sabaragamuwa province from 8.00 a.m. on 2023.06.17 at Ratnapura Sewali Stadium.

Six hundred athletes from 50 schools in Ratnapura and Kegalle districts of Sabaragamu province participate in this.

Hundreds of school sports coaches and forty coaches of Sri Lankan Volleyball Coaches Association participate in this.

The Sri Lanka National Olympic Committee has also organized a special lecture series for the athletes there.

The programme is run by various sports from different countries around the world to promote gender equality and coexistence.

Volleyball game has been selected to implement this program in Sri Lanka.

An island wide sport and a group of great athletes and sports fans joining volleyball is one of the main reasons.

This programme identifies talented athletes, promoting volleyball at rural level are some of the main objectives here.

Sri Lankan National Olympic Committee and Sri Lanka Volleyball Convention jointly supported the programme by the Ministry of Education, Sabaragamu province, Ministry of Education and Sports, School Volleyball Association, Sri Lanka volleyball coaches association supported the programme Thing.
